Tim Burnham

I was raised in Onsted, MI also known as the Irish Hills. I currently reside in
Brighton, MI.
I received my first guitar when I was 14. Some of my biggest influences include
Randy Rhodes and Stevie Ray Vaughn. My guitar had to be surgically
removed during High School because I played so much. The highlight of my High
School days was being voted the best musician in my class. I receive this honor
after playing some original music in school talent show.
During college I joined the Jazz band. There I learned a great deal about music
theory and improvisation. I also played in several rock bands during college. I
honed my skills playing nearly every weekend for 3 years everywhere from
Mackinaw Island, Lansing, and Detroit.
Over the past 3 to 4 years I have been learning how to sing. I realized that
people didn't want to hear the latest guitar licks. Rather, they want to hear
songs they know and can sing. In the year prior to joining the New Fossils I
learned 40+ plus songs that I could sing and play. You can also hear me perform
these songs in local Brighton, MI establishments with a duet called Red Echo

I joined the New Fossils in late 2007. Currently, I spend a great deal of time
in my home studio recording and learning new material. The guitars that I have
been playing with for over 12 years are Paul Reed Smith CE 24; Stratocaster
Deluxe Plus; and Washburn Craig Chaquico Acoustic.
